I grew up loving stories about the creatures that curl your toes and the legends that send a shiver down your spine. Now I love writing about them, too. I grew up in the northwest and now live in Utah with my family, our dog, Chewie, and a house full of vintage finds that I secretly hope might be haunted.
In addition to carting home piles of library books about ghosts, I devoured everything by Cleary and Blume, the rock stars of children’s lit. My all-time favorite books range from Little Women and Anne of Green Gables to Harold and His Purple Crayon to Susan Cooper’s Over Sea, Under Stone and Lloyd Alexander’s Chronicles of Prydain. I’m always up for a return visit to Hogwarts and Narnia, and never tire of E.B. White’s glorious essays.
I am a sucker for M. Night Shyamalan movies. I love music, travel, antiques, the ocean, and baseball. Guilty pleasures include chocolate Heath bar Blizzards and Scramble with Friends.
